
Once upon a time, in a kitchen filled with the enchanting aromas of fresh ingredients, I discovered a magical passion for cooking and baking. This delightful journey began under the tutelage of my beloved Great Aunt Ethel and Grannie, who wielded no recipes, only the secret ingredients of luck and love. Fast forward to 2013, and I found myself embarking on a new culinary quest at the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Pasadena, CA. Amidst the whirlwind of late weeknights and Saturdays, all while juggling a full-time job in Newport Beach, CA, I graduated from the Patisserie program in 2007 and conjured up Little Oven Pastries—a fantastical bakery specializing in unique cookies, cakes, and other delectable desserts.
In 2013, fate brought me to Louisville, KY, where I stumbled upon another passion through the lens of my Step-Uncle’s well-used Nikon camera. By 2018, I had the brilliant idea to blend my two loves, food and photography, and thus Chamell Photography was born—capturing the essence of culinary delights in every shot.
The year 2022 ushered in a fresh perspective as I set my sights on downtown Chicago. Now, with a heart full of creativity and inspiration, I revel in helping culinary creatives work their magic, seeing beyond the lens to communicate their brand through professional editorial photography.
